Reds at red sox Tonight, the Reds take on the Red Sox in Boston in the first game of the series between the two. The Reds have been way better than expected this season and are sitting with 24 wins through 53 games. The Red Sox are also performing better than I thought they would and are 3 games over .500. So, what are we taking tonight between the two above average teams?
The Red Sox have Brayan Brello on the mound tonight for the 6th time this season. He has been a decent pitcher for his side thus far, but that is mostly because of the run support he gets. He is 3-0 at home this season, but all three of the games that he has played at home have had at least 15 runs scored in them. The Reds have Ben Lively on the mound tonight and it is his fifth start for the team this season. He has been one of the best pitchers for the Reds so far this season as he has a 2.65 ERA overall and a 3.86 ERA on the road this season. Lively is 2-2 in the games that he has started, but not because of bad pitching, because of bad offense. In the game tonight I believe that the trend that Brello has set with his home games is going to continue. This means that there will be a lot of runs scored. It also means that this could be a one-sided affair, but only time will tell. Hammer: o10 Sprinkle: Red Sox ML - Jacob

Toronto Blue Jays at boston red sox Tonight, the Blue Jays are taking on the Red Sox in what will be game three of the series between the two. The Red Sox have won the first two of the matchups and are looking for the win in game 3 tonight. Both of these teams have been playing well so far this season with the Jays sitting at 18-12 and the Red Sox being 17-14. The Red Sox have been money at home so far this season as they are 11-7 at home and will be looking to extend their home winning streak tonight.
Nick Pivetta will be on the bump tonight for the Red Sox and Alek Manoah on the bump for the Blue Jays. Pivetta has been struggling a little bit this year and has an ERA at home of 7.07. He is 1-2 at home so far this season and in those three home games he has given up an average of 4.33 runs per game. Manoah on the other hand has been very good on the road so far this season. He has an away ERA of 2.60 and has given up 1.5 runs in those matchups with 7 innings pitched in each of the games. In the Pivetta vs Manoah matchup I think that it is an easy call and Manoah will be the better pitcher tonight. With all of this being said Pivetta and Manoah are both pretty good pitchers, but Manoah has been better on the road than Pivetta at home. The Sox have won the last two matchups between the two and I think tonight is the night when the Jays are going to be getting their revenge. Hammer: Jays ML Sprinkle: Jays -1.5 Sprinkle: Triston Casas u0.5 hits - Jacob Milwaukee Brewers at Colorado Rockies Tonight, we have a matchup between one of the hottest teams in the league with the Milwaukee Brewers and one of the coldest teams in the league the Colorado Rockies. The Brewers have started the season 18-10 and have been extremely good on the road this season with sweeps against the Mets in NY and the Mariners in Seattle. The Rockies have gotten off to a rocky start and are currently 9-20.
The pitching matchup tonight is between Freddy Peralta for the Brewers and Ryan Feltner for the Rockies. Neither of these pitchers have been amazing so far this season. Peralta has a 3-2 record and in his only away start of the season he gave up 9 hits and 5 runs to the Padres in 5 innings. Feltner is 2-2 on the season and he even though he won his only start at home, it was not impressive. In this start he gave up 6 hits and 3 runs to one of the worst teams in the league, the Nationals. With the ways that these pitchers have been playing and with the altitude increase in Colorado, I think I have some valuable picks for you guys here: Hammer: MIL/COL o11.5 Hammer: Brewers ML Sprinkle: YRFI - Jacob philadelphia phillies at Houston Astros The Philadelphia Phillies are going to take on the Houston Astros tonight in the first of the three game series between the two teams in Houston. The Astros and Phillies have both been decent this season. The Phillies sit at exactly .500 and the Astros are only slightly above .500. Both of the teams are starting pitchers that are supposed to be extremely good but have been struggling on the bump so far this season. So, the question is, which pitcher is going to overcome their early season underperformances and show up tonight. Aaron Nola is starting on the bump tonight for the Phillies. He started the season with three shitters losing all three giving up an average of 4 runs and 6.66 hits per game. In his last two starts he has also given up three runs, but he has been doing slightly better by only giving up 4.5 hits in each of those matchups. Nola is supposed to be a star for the Phillies, but he needs to start showing up if the Phillies are going to be able to turn their season around a little bit. Framber Valdez is on the mound tonight for the Astros. He has also been less than impressive even though he is supposed to be one of the best pitchers in the lineup. Valdez has given up three or more runs in 3 of his 5 starts and has given up 6 or more hits in those games as well. With all of this being said I don’t know who is going to win this game. Both of these teams have been great in some games this season and have been abysmal in others. The good news is that I do think I have a winner here. Both pitchers have been struggling and both will struggle again tonight.
Hammer: Hou/PHI o7.5 Sprinkle: Kyle Schwarber o0.5 hits - Jacob pittsburg pirates at colorado rockies Tonight, in Colorado, we will see the Rockies taking on the Pirates in game 1 of their three-game series. The Pirates have been more than impressive to start the season as they are 9-7 which is much better than what I think most people expected. The Rockies have been dog shit to start the season, which is what most people did expect, and they are sitting with a record of 5-11. The Pirates just close out a series with the Cardinals where they went 2-2 and the Rockies just closed out with the Mariners where they went 0-3. So, will the Rockies find a way to turn things around tonight or will the Pirates continue to play good baseball.
The pitching matchup tonight will be between Rich Hill for the Pirates and Kyle Freeland for the Rockies. Rich Hill have failed to record a win so far this season as he is 0-2 with bad losses to the Reds and Astros. He has a 7.2 ERA over the span of two games and a 5.2 ERA away from home. Kyle Freeland, on the other hand, has been lights out for the Rockies. He has an ERA of 0.96 and he held the Padres to 0 earned runs through six innings in his first start of the season. The pitchers in this matchup are polar opposites and the teams are as well. So, what’s the play for tonight? The Rockies. I heard like 4 years ago that the elevation change can affect players in their first game in Colorado. Now I think this was for football, but that on top of the fact that the Rockies are starting their best pitcher and the Pirates are starting one of their worst means one thing and one thing only: Hammer: Rockies ML Sprinkle: Austin Hedges o0.5 hits - Jacob Min Twins at NY Yankees In tonight’s matchup, we will see the Twins taking on the New York Yankees. This will be the first game of the 4-game series between the two running from today to Sunday. Both of these teams have started their season very well with 8-4 records and it looks like they could both have a shot at winning their respective divisions. Both of these teams have won 4 of their last 5 games in mostly low scoring affairs. The Yankees have had only one game in their last five that has gone over 10 runs. The Twins are in the same boat as besides their game with the Astros where 15 runs were scored, none of their games have gone over 7 runs. So, is this going to change tonight? The starting pitchers tonight will be Joe Ryan for the Twins and Jhony Brito for the Yankees. Jhony Brito has been playing out of his mind to start the season. He has a 2-0 record and has given up only one earned run in his two starts. Also, in these two starts he has struck out eight and only give up FIVE HITS. His ERA is sitting at 0.9 and I don’t know if a pitcher could have a better start to the season than Brito has had. The Twins pitcher, Joe Ryan, has also been pretty good to start the season. He is 2-0 just like Brito and he has only given up 6 hits in those 2 games. However, he is sitting with in ERA of 3.75 because of the 4 earned runs he gave up against the Astros, and he has been part of some pretty high scoring games. Both of these pitchers have been finding a way to win and both of these teams have been finding a way to win, so who has the advantage tonight.
The answer to that question is the Yankees. The Yankees have a better line-up than the Twins. They pay their players a shit ton of money and they can win games, as long as they aren’t in the playoffs. And until Jhony Brito shows me that someone can hit against him, I won’t be betting against him. Hammer: Yankees ML Hammer: Joe Ryan o5.5 strikeouts Sprinkle: u8.5 runs - Jacob Royals at rangers
The Kansas City Royals are taking on the Texas Rangers tonight in the third game of the series between the two sides. The Rangers have taken the first two games of the series with an 11-2 win in game one and an 8-5 extra innings win in game 2.
The Rangers are HOT to start the season as they are sitting at 7-4 with a 6-2 record at home. The Royals have not been great so far this season and they are looking to turn it around and not get swept with a win tonight.
Brad Keller will be on the mound for the Royals tonight and he’s been pretty good for them so far this season. Although his record is 1-1, he has a 2.61 ERA and has only given up three runs all season long. He also has his only win of the season away at San Francisco. Nathan Eovaldi is on the mound for the Rangers tonight and he also has a 1-1 record this season. He has only given up five runs on the season and is sitting with an ERA of 4.22. He showed that he was better on the road though as his ERA while at home is 5.40. The Royals hitting has not been great this year. The starters for their team having an average batting average of .180, so they are looking to get the bats hot. The Rangers have been putting up runs in some of their games this season but tonight they will be without their best batter is Corey Seager after he left Tuesday’s game with a left hamstring injury.
The Rangers have been the much better team so far this season and the Royals have struggles hitting. But without their best batter, I don’t see the Rangers putting up a ton of runs tonight. So here are the picks:
Hammer: Royals/Rangers u9 Hammer: Royals +1.5 Sprinkle: Franmil Reyes o0.5 hits Late night west coast mlb specialI’ve returned from my two week hiatus, during which I was on a darkness retreat on an undisclosed Caribbean island. I needed to rejuvenate my mind so that I could change up my approach to sports betting. In my return, I’ve brought with me a 3-pick MLB package for the late-night west coast games to give you a stress-free Tuesday night. I’ll likely fall asleep before the last pitch in these games as an east coaster, but I won’t be worried about losing money in my slumber. Game: Nationals @ Angels
The Nats are bad and the Angels have been mediocre outside of Mike Trout and Shohei Ohtani with surprise appearances from Renfroe and Rendon. The pitching matchup tonight is Gray versus Ohtani which some may unknowingly disregard. Ohtani is a laser, obviously, but I wouldn’t sleep on Josiah Gray despite his numbers saying to take a nap while he plays. He’s still very young and could easily pull out a great game, especially against some not so hot Angels’ bats. I expect the Angels to score a little and the Nats to score a littler on pitches from Ohtani. The total is a bit too high for me. Pick: Nationals @ Angels U8.5 (-110 Caesars) Game: Brewers @ Diamondbacks Both the Brewers and Dbacks are high-energy, exciting teams that can get hot under the right circumstances. The teams are 9th and 14th in runs, respectively, and the Dbacks owe a lot of those runs to their league 3rd highest stolen bases. Milwaukee pitcher Corbin Burnes has had an abysmal first two games and Arizona’s Merrill Kelly is as subpar as they come. I can see the Dbacks having a field day with the pitching they’ll get, and I can see the Brewers taking out their anger after Zac Gallen frustrated them to a donut last night. Let’s watch these teams run it up. Pick: Brewers @ Diamondbacks O8.5 (-113 Barstool) Game: Dodgers @ Giants For me this game comes down to a pitching mismatch and the Dodgers’ top of the order. Dustin May has had a dream start to the season for the Dodgers, allowing only 5 hits and 1 run through 13 total innings. The Giants’ Alex Wood has allowed 1 run per each of the 3 innings he’s pitched, so all he has going for him is the fact that he pitched less innings last Thursday than May did. The Dodgers’ first three batters have been incredible with Will Smith, their Catcher, emerging as an unlikely follow-up to Mookie Betts and Freddie Freeman. Along with this trio, Max Muncy came out of hibernation last night to put up 2 HRs and 7 RBIs. If he can replicate this performance in any way then the Dodgers will make easy work of a San Fran team that should struggle to hit off of Dustin May’s heat. I like the Dodgers’ heavy hitters to carry them through the first 5 with their 3 at bats. Pick: Dodgers -0.5 1st 5 Innings (-105 BetMGM) - Judson Marlins at phillies This evening we have the second matchup of three between the Marlins and the Phillies. The Phillies absolutely decimated the Marlins in the first game with a 15 to 3 win and the loss can be credited to bad pitching. Alcantara gave up 9 runs to the Phillies in the first 5 inning before he was pulled. At that point it was too late to catch up, but the relievers didn’t help either giving up another six runs after that. The Marlins offense actually didn’t do too bad as they recorded nine hits, but many times they failed to score with RISP. Tonight, I believe all of the Marlin’s woes could fade away. The pitching matchup for tonight will be Jesus Luzardo for the Marlins and Aaron Nola for the Phillies. Luzardo was absolutely lights out in his last showing against the Twins where he recorded 10 K’s in the 7 innings that he pitched. He also only gave up one run in those 7 innings off of 5 hits. The problem that he may have tonight is that the Phillies offense is much better than the Twins. Although the Phillies started off cold here are the averages of their starting hitters: As you can see the offense for the Phillies is something to be reckoned with. Turner, Schwarber, Bohm, and Marsh are world class hitter and something that should be feared by any pitcher who faces them. The starting pitcher for the Phillies, Aaron Nola, was not great in his last start. He gave up 7 hits and 3 runs in just 6 innings against the Yankees. If he is this lack-luster with his pitching again today, Luis Arraez may light him up today.
Neither of these teams have been outstanding to begin the season. They both are only sitting at four wins, but the Phillies have been the better team recently. However, when you get humiliated the night before, it is much easier to show up pissed off the next day, and I like the Marlins today. Hammer: Marlins ML Sprinkle: Luis Arraez HR - Jacob Reds at braves The Reds take on the Braves tonight in what is sure to be a tremendous matchup between the two sides. The Reds look much better than I expected them too through eight games as they are sitting with a record of 4-4. The Braves are about where I expected them to be with a 6-4 record and first in the NL East. The greatest difference between these two teams this season that I can think of is that I actually can name some people who play for the Braves.
The starting pitchers tonight are Graham Ashcraft for the Reds and Bryce Elder for the Braves. Both of these pitchers were absolutely lights out in their first starts of the season. Ashcraft only gave up four hits and one run through 7 innings against the Pirates and Elder only gave up 2 hits and 0 runs through six innings in his first start against the Cardinals. Both of the pitchers were money which is why for this game I’m going to be focusing on the batters for my picks. The first four spots in the Reds batting order are pretty good and all have ERA’s over or just below a .300. But when you get past number 4 in the order you only have one batter in the next 5 that is batting .250. They have a very top-heavy order with not much talent to drive in runs towards the bottom. The Braves on the other hand, have quality batters up and down they order. Opening with Acuna, Olsen, and Riley is absolutely lethal to the opposing team. Then having Arcia and Pillar at 7 and 8 in order to have runners on base for the top of the order makes it so that the Braves can score at will. The Braves are the better team in this matchup. Although both the pitchers put on their best Greg Maddux impression in their first games, the depth that the Braves have is going to make it impossible for the Reds to keep up with them here.
