Lakers At Golden State WarriorsTonight game 1 of a much anticipated second round series begins. Lebron and the Lakers travel to San Francisco to take on Steph Curry’s Warriors. This series will be the fifth time that Lebron has faced the Warriors in the post season playoffs, and the first time that it's not the finals. There's also the legendary matchup of arguably the best point guard to ever play the game, Steph Curry vs arguably the best to ever play the sport, Lebron James. With such a legendary series starting tonight, it's only right we supply you guys with a pick for game one. There's a plethora of picks you could look at for tonight's game, but for me one out does them all. Steph Curry has been on fire for these playoffs so far, and with a home matchup against the Lakeshow I don’t see him slowing down at all. We all know his record breaking game seven performance against the Kings where he dropped 50 pts, but even before that game Steph recorded 30, 28, 36, 32, 31, and 29 in the series. Out of those numbers in the home games against the Kings is where he recorded the 36,32, and 29 point performances, which leads us into tonight's pick. Steph's line is set at 31.5 points currently, it's a pretty high number but he's at his home court, where he is extremely comfortable with shooting the ball. For those home games against the King’s he shot 6-12, 5-11, and 5-12 from three. He's clearly not scared at all about shooting the three ball, and at home he's been able to put at least 5 away in the playoffs so far, and that was against an extremely aggressive Sacramento Defense. I think Steph at home is an easy pick, and he should cruise over his total tonight. Pick: Steph Curry o31.5pts - Jason

Lakers @ Grizzlies & Heat @ Bucks
Lakers @ Grizzlies
Will Ja play? The question on every bettor’s mind right now. I don’t have the answer to that, however, I don’t care. This game is currently a Pick-em and I’m leaning toward the Grizzlies for a few reasons: A.) Grizzlies at home in the Playoffs for a MASSIVE game 2 You know that Memphis is gonna be poppin' for this game and that home atmosphere is a major advantage B.) This is a classic Can’t Lose game The Grizzlies know that if they drop this game the series could be pretty much over with the series shifting to L.A. for the next two games C.) The Grizzlies have proved time and time again that they can win without JA They did it a bunch last season and they did it again this season during Ja’s “vacation” It’s Dillon Brooks Time BABYYY
The Pick: Grizzlies Moneyline
Heat @ Bucks Will Giannis Play? The question on every bettor’s mind right now. I don’t have the answer to that, however, I don’t care. The reason I don’t care is that I know for a FACT Jack Harlow’s favorite hooper Tyler Herro WILL NOT be playing tonight. The Heat came out white hot in the series opener shooting 60% from three and almost 60% from the floor. They’re bound to regress, while on the flip side, the Bucks shot an abhorrent 11-45 from 3-point-land (24.4%) and are bound to positively regress. I really like the Bucks at home to get a decisive win in a get-back game that shows the League “We’re in it to win it”. (Also I’m like 75% sure Giannis will play) The Pick: Bucks -7.5 - Jake Pelicans vs thunder
I have been ice cold during the Play-in games thus far. I’m not even surprised because this shit happens to me every year (I was very confident in the clippers over the Timberwolves last year and we all know how that turned out)
Yesterday I liked the favorites (whoops) and tonight I liked the Bulls to cover (double whoops most likely) so when it comes to the Pelicans and Thunder I don’t know what to think. I’m not opposed to fading myself but I oft find myself lying to myself about what I was actually going to pick and my mind turns to mush trying to sort it all out. I’m no player prop savant as we saw with last nights Anthony Edwards pick, so today I’m going to go spread. The only question is which one so to find the answer I’m going to let fate decide.
Heads is Pelicans and Tails thunder *Hey Siri flip a coin* Tails it is The pick: Thunder +5.5 - Jake Timberwolves vs Lakers
After what seemed like forever the time has finally come: playoff basketball. Well, rather Play-In basketball. This last week or so of basketball has been borderline unwatchable with teams resting starters and some teams even not-so-subtly intentionally losing.
On the last night of the regular season, we got our annual “Who?” performances of the year. Payton Pritchard (Oregon Legend) put up his first career triple-double
And Udonis Haslem was out there playing like it was Senior Night
But the craziest thing to happen on Sunday was the punch heard ‘round the league
On the bright side this seemed to close the loop that Rudy started about 3 years ago
Rudy Gobert has been suspended by the Timberwolves and will NOT be playing in the most important game of the Timberwolves’ season so far. We all know that the Gobert trade will go down as an all-time terrible trade but this is just the cherry on top.
Even funnier is Jalen Mcdaniels will also not be playing against the Lakers tonight due to *checks notes* throwing a punch!
Mcdaniels fractured his hand and is going to miss significant time, but from the looks of everything he might only miss two games.
The Lakers have been pretty awesome lately and I don't see them struggling too much against the T-wolves unless KAT and Ant have career games. This is just a case of one team trending up and the other trending down. Tonight’s line is currently set at 8.5 points which is a lot of points so I’m pretty torn on how to bet tonight. I honestly just want to bet on Anthony Edwards tonight because of how he performed in last year's play-in. If I had to lean a certain way on the spread I would say Lakers -8.5 but that isn’t what I’m gonna officially put as my pick. The Pick: Anthony Edwards O 38.5 Points+Rebounds+Assists Lakers AT ClippersWent 1-1 on the Dejounte Murray picks last night. Wasn’t the worst, but for some reason Dejounte Murray forgot how to shoot the ball, so there’s not much you can do to fix that. With the Masters coming up, we need to win some coin back, to prepare for the tourney. So tonight we will look at the Battle of LA. The Lakers are riding a 4 game win streak and are trying to keep their spot in the playoffs, but tonight that streak comes to an end. This is a huge LA matchup tonight with two teams stacked with stars and big playoff implications. The atmosphere for this game should be insane with a pretty equaled out crowd considering both teams are from LA. The only thing is the Clippers own the Lakers, and I don’t see that changing tonight. For the last five times these two LA teams have played each other, this is going back into last season too, the Clippers have won all five games. With the addition of Westbrick, who has his games and a healthy Kawhi back, I think the Clippers should be able to hold onto this streak and make it a six win affair. Paul George is still out for the Clippers, and the Lakers have Lebron, Davis, and Russell all listed as doubtful right now, but even if they play I still love this Clippers team at home. It's a simple pick Clippers -3, no need to overthink it, the Clippers live rent free in the Lakers heads. Pick: Clippers -3 Pelicans at grizzlies
Both these teams have locked up some form of post-season. The Grizzlies pretty much own the 2-seed and the Pels look like they will be the 8 or 7 in the play-in, which is a huge advantage. Both teams must feel like there's a parade inside their city Yeauhh
The 2 seed for the Grizzlies may turn out to be more of a curse than a blessing as they’ll likely face either the Clippers or Lakers in the first round. That’s no easy task, especially with the way both those two teams have been playing but I doubt the Grizzlies are worried, I mean they're fine in the West right? They certainly wouldn’t get bounced first round right?
Honestly, I would probably cap too if I was sitting a few feet from Malika Andrews
Ja’s continuing to play at an elite level and the Grizzlies have been great since his sojourn from the team. He’s all the way back to attempted murder at the rim
The Pelicans on the other hand are still in Limbo when it comes to their star
Even if they make it to the Playoffs I doubt we’d see Zion in the first round. However, without Zion the Pelicans have been turning it on late in the season, winning 7 of their last 9. Tonight though, they're favored by 5.5 points and I just don’t see it. I like the Grizzlies, maybe even outright.
The Pick: Grizzlies +5.5 Hawks At BullsYesterday's pick on the Ice was extremely unlucky. I think everyone expected the Kraken to win, but no one expected it to be a 8-1 blowout, which did not play well into Clayton Keller's hands. The kid had 2 sog’s starting at the second, but shit the bed, and was somehow not able to get one more the rest of the game. So tonight we say a big F U to the ice, and take a look at the NBA. Tonight we take a look at a matchup, which is the battle of the mids. The Hawks are sitting at exactly .500, and the Bulls are sitting with a two game gap between them and .500 mark. So you’re probably wondering why we would be taking a look at this bummy matchup. Well that is because of the injury report for the Hawks. The Hawks have listed both Deandre Hunter and Trae Young OUT for tonight's matchup, and the Trae Young injury leaves us with a great option for player props. Dejounte Murray, the star shooting guard for the Spurs who was traded over the summer, hasn’t had anywhere close to the season that was expected of him so far. And that's for obvious reasons, at the Spurs he was their main guy, which allowed him to drop an insane amount of triple doubles last season. But when he came to the Hawks his stats were cut, because he's splitting his role with Trae Young, which cut down his numbers for everything from assists and rebounds to points. With Trae Young out tonight however, he has a chance to give us a taste of what he can do as the main guy for the Hawks tonight. Murray was known especially for his crazy assist numbers he would put up. That's why I have two plays for tonight's game, Dejounte Murray o22.5pts, and Dejounte Murray o8.5 assists. With him being the star guy tonight we should get to see the Murray that showed out for the Spurs and see him hit these numbers easily. Celtics at bucks & Pelicans at nuggets We’re getting down to the wire now. Playoffs start in about two weeks and teams have 5-6 games to clinch their spot in the real thing or the play-in. The 10 teams in the east seem pretty set and the only big difference that I could see happening is the Nets and Heat swapping spots in the playoff and play-in. The west on the other hand is very very tight towards the bottom. I’m disappointed that it looks like the Jazz aren’t going to get a play-in spot because I loved how that team played this year. I predict that the Mavericks will end up taking the 10 seed just because I can’t imagine a playoffs without Kyrie AND Luka. Conceivably no one from seeds 6-10 is completely safe and that is awesome. We’re gonna have some fun leading up to the play-ins Celtics vs Bucks
The Celtics have been pretty shaky in the month of March. They seem to have cleaned up some of their problems the last week but I’m interested to see how they fare going up against the Bucks tonight. This is the most likely ECF matchup but I wouldn’t be surprised if the Celtics lost in the second round. Tonight I envision the Bucks shoring up their 1 seed and winning at home. The Pick: Bucks -2.5 Pelicans vs Nuggets The Nuggets were looking pretty rough there for a second when they lost five out of six a couple of weeks ago, but they seem to have gotten back on course, winning their last 4. Tonight they are favored by 5.5 points but I think that’s a lot to swallow. The Pelicans need every W they can get and tonight a win for them would be HUGE. They expect to get Zion back in the next few weeks but you never know with him and his injuries so they have to get shit done now. Tonight I expect the hungry dog to run faster. The Pick: Pelicans +5.5 Pacers at raptorsIt's the third and final day without March Madness. With only two NHL matchups tonight, we turn once again back to the NBA. Yesterday's pick was looking decent then halftime happened, and the Kings coach must have given the most depressing halftime speech of all time. Because once that second half started, the Kings took the express lane right to the shitter. Realistically I should stay away from NBA game lines after last night's fiasco, but I ain’t no bitch so we are heading right back to the land of NBA game lines. If Drake's fatass head wasn’t obvious enough, tonight we are going to take a look at the Raptors game. Usually I don't pay any attention to this team, but tonight’s matchup against the Pacers draws some attention. The Pacers as many of y’all know are without star guard Tyrese Haliburton, and let’s just say it's been a very rough patch for them without him. The Raptors on the other hand may not be the best team on the road, but are riding a massive seven game home win streak. The last three of those home games in March, they have defeated opponents by no less than ten points, which includes an impressive 15 point win against the Nuggets. With this team firing on all cylinders at home there is no reason to believe that this Pacers team has the ability to keep the game close at all. With a healthy Halliburton it would be a different story, but with him listed as doubtful(knee) give me the Raptors -9.
Pick: Raptors vs Pacers: Raptors -9 - Jason Warriors at Mavericks
Folks, they’ve finally done it!
The Warriors just won their first away game since January, bringing their record in away games to a whopping 8-29. This is disgusting coming from the defending champs especially when you look at the fact that it's practically the same team as last season. And who did the Warriors finally break the streak against? *Checks notes* Oh, just the worst team in the league the, Houston Rockets, who played them tough the first three quarters. I had to sprinkle just a little bit on Rocket's money line Monday night at +480 and there were legit times during the game I felt good about my bet.
Surprisingly, I do still think that the Warriors should be considered the favorites to come out of the West come playoff time. Until a full-strength version of Golden State loses in the playoffs you should assume they’re gonna advance to the next round regardless of who they’re playing. While I honestly do believe this, they got some serious shit to figure out before the ‘yoffs, specifically HOW TO WIN ON THE ROAD! This is especially important considering right now the Warriors are looking down the barrel of being a 6, 7, or 8 seed and they will NOT have the home-court advantage they usually get to enjoy. Hopefully Wiggins will be back for the playoffs considering he was probably the second-best player for the Warriors in the Finals last season, but it seems like no one outside of the organization actually knows what’s going on with him.
For tonight’s game, considering that it is a home game for the Mavs I think my pick is kind of obvious. Kyrie has also been undeniably balling recently, averaging 31-5-5 in the last five games and he certainly passed the eye test against the Grizzlies even though that was a crazy choke job from Dallas. But for Warriors @ Mavericks I have made up my mind.
The Pick: Dallas ML - Jake |
