Carolina Hurricanes At new york islandersNHL playoffs continue tonight with another series deciding set of games tonight. The series I want to take a look at tonight is the Islanders series, and see if we can get it right this time unlike last time we bet on them. The Canes lead 3-2, so tonight the Islanders really can’t afford to mess up, otherwise tonight their postseason ends tonight. Other than this being a series deciding game for the Islanders, they also have an advantage with the game being held on home ice tonight, and you can bet that the crowd for tonight's game is going to be wild. The teams are extremely evenly matched, so the difference for the Islanders is going to depend on two things tonight. The first one is that Ilya Sorokin has to be solid in goal tonight, he is an extremely talented keep and when he's on point he's a stone wall many offenses have struggled to get past this season. The second is the Islanders have to produce on the offense side of the puck. The offense productivity has been an area the Islander have struggled with a little this series, but tonight they have to be sharp. Barzal is back to speed after his lengthy recovery, and with talents of Brock Nelson, and Bo Horvart the Islanders, as they have proven in prior games this series, can get past this tough Carolina defense. It's going to be an electric matchup in New York tonight so make sure to get on the winning side and ride with the Islanders.
Pick: Islanders ML -Jason

Seattle Kraken at Colorado Avalanche game 5 Tonight, we have game 5 between the Kraken and the Avs and I have to say, the Kraken have surprised me. I don’t want to say that I thought they would just roll over in the playoffs, but their ability to perform so well against the raining Stanley Cup champs has been astonishing to me. Sure, you could say that the Avs are battling some key injuries that’s fucking with their lines, but either way I did not expect them to have this much trouble with the Kraken.
All of the games in this series have been pretty close so far. The largest win by both teams was by two goals with the other two games ending as one goal losses for the prospective side, so who has the advantage tonight? The main thing that I am watching out for in tonight’s game is the fact that Cale Makar and Jared McCann won’t be on the ice tonight. For those of you who don’t know, Makar got suspended one game for his hit that injured McCann on Monday night. The Avalanche are losing a great defenseman in tonight’s matchup, but the Kraken are losing their top point scorer on the season with his injury. And yes, I know that he only has one point so far this series, but he’s a facilitator that the Kraken are going to be missing on the ice tonight. He is also one less thing that the Avs have to worry about on defense so the Avs being a little more aggressive in this game is for sure possible. With all of this injury talk I think that it is time to move onto the picks for this matchup. Without their season point leader on the ice for the game tonight I find it hard to believe that the Kraken are going to be able to pull out a win in Denver. So, for that reason: Hammer: Avs -1.5 Hammer: MacKinnon anytime goal Sprinkle: Avs -2.5 - Jacob Player Props Panthers @ BruinsWell tonight we could witness the first close to a first round series with the Panthers vs the Bruins tonight. Tonight however I'm staying away from the game lines and instead going to take a look at a couple of player props for tonight's game. With it being a huge game for both sides the game script could not be laid out better for these player props tonight.
The first player prop tonight is for Taylor Hall to score a point tonight. Hall has been on fire scoring seven points in the last three games of this series, and with tonight being the potential series deciding game there is no reason for him to slow down. Another player for the Bruins to look at in tonight's matchup is Jake Debrusk, who like Hall has been on absolute fire this series. Debrusk has recorded five points in the last 4 games of this series, and like Hall with a potential series deciding game tonight, should have no reason to stop. On the flip side we look at the Panthers, who also have had their own player who has consistently contributed to the Panthers offense this series. Sam Bennet missed the first game of the series, but in the last three he has recorded a point in each game. With the Panthers in a must win position tonight you can guarantee them at least putting a couple pucks in net tonight, and there is a good chance Bennet would be involved in at least one of those. Those in my opinion are the best props tonight, great stats to back them, and great odds to take. Picks: Taylor Hall o0.5 pts, Jake Debrusk o0.5 pts, Sam Bennet o0.5 pts -Jason Kings at oilers: game 5 Tonight, in the late-night game, we will see the LA Kings take on the Edmonton Oilers in game 5 of the series between the two. There is a little trend that’s going on in the games in the series so far where whoever won the last game loses the next game. If this trend continues that means that the Oilers will be losing the series in 7 games, but I don’t think that’s what is going to happen. I am a little surprised by the line in this game since the games have been close and the series is tied 2-2, but let’s see what’s going to happen.
The Oilers have been great in Edmonton this season, but the Kings have also been good on the road. In the first two games of this series in Edmonton each team picked up a win before heading to LA and doing the same. The Oilers have been absolutely firing off shots this series with the lowest number of shots in a game being 37. The Kings goalie, Korpisalo, has actually been playing pretty well this series even though he has allowed over 3 gpg. His save percentage even with the number of goals that he’s given up has been very good. But, with the Oilers now being settled into the playoffs and with them returning home tonight, I can only see this game going one way. The Kings and Oilers series has been close in every single game with two of the game going into overtime. Both teams have been skating well on offense but have also been lacking on defense at some times. Tonight, the Kings are the ones who are going to struggle and defense and the McDavid and Draisaitl combo is going to give them hell. Here are the picks: Hammer: Oilers -1.5 Hammer: Korpisalo o31.5 saves Sprinkle: Correct score: Kings 2 Oilers 6 - Jacob Avalanche at Kraken game 4 In the final game of the night, we have the Colorado Avalanche taking on the Seattle Kraken in game 4 of the series. The Kraken are at home tonight but are currently down 2-1 in the series and are hoping to even things up before they go back to Colorado. The Kraken started off hot winning 3-1 in the first game in Colorado but have cooled off and lost the last two games against the Avs. The games in this series have been relatively close, and I really don’t know if that is going to change too much tonight.
The two sides have been neck and neck in every game that they have played in so far this series with the largest loss by either team coming by the slim margin of two goals. In all of the games so far, the Avs have been absolutely firing shots off shooting more than 32 in every game so far. The Kraken have been holding their own though and averaging close to 28 shots per game. What I think is going to make the difference in this game is that the Avs goalie, Georgiev, is a better goalie than the Krakens, Grubauer. Although each of these goalies have had their times to shine in these playoffs, with the sheer volume of shots that the Avs fire off every game I don’t see how the Kraken are going to be able to win tonight even though they are at home. The Kraken are a great team and they have overachieved this season just by making it to the post season, but I don’t think they are getting out of the first round of the playoffs and I don’t think that they are going to get the win tonight. The Avs are going to come out firing again and take game 4: Hammer: Avs ML Hammer: Grubauer o28.5 saves Sprinkle: Avs -1.5 - Jacob Toronto Maple Leafs At Tampa Bay Lightning |
