Wild at Blues
Tonight, we have a matchup between two teams that absolutely fucking hate each other. The Central division rivals Wild and Blues. They have already faced off twice this season where the Wild won in St. Louis and the Blues won in Minnesota. Both of these games had one of the teams win by more than one goal and the last time the two teams played in St. Louis there were 7 goals scored.
Marc-Andre Fleury will be staring in net tonight for the Wild. He has a 21-13-3 record this season and is saving 90.9% of shots that he faces. The Blues will have Jordan Binningham in net tonight. He has been less than impressive this season to say the very least. He’s currently sitting at a 22-24-5 record and is allowing a pretty high 3.33 goals per game. The Wild have won 4 of 5 on the road in March while the Blues have won 1 of 2 at home in the same timeframe. What the stats won’t tell you though is that the Blues have kind of been the Wild’s kryptonite. Since 2019 the Blues are 14-4 against the wild in all of their matchups. Even when the wild are having a good year the Blues find a way to come out and kill them. The over is also 10-8 in the games that these two have played against each other since 2019, and two games in a row haven’t failed to go over the goal line since 2019 as well.
This game seems pretty clear cut to me. The Wild are the much better team this season and they have shown it since they sit at second in the central. The Blues have been struggling, but that won’t stop them from dicking down the wild again tonight.
