This is quite a special lay not going to lie. It's based mostly on feelings and not stats, which explains its name the “Degen Special”. But since most of you pussies need stats to be convinced here they are. Brayden Point has been on a heater recently, he has recorded 9 points in his last 6 games. The one outlier game was the 6-0 away loss to the Canes, which everyone knows was a fluke. Nico Hiescher is a young stud playing for a star-stacked Devils team. The kid has recorded six points in his last six games, and when the Canes are the away team, they tend to let up goals, which is a great opportunity for points. On the other hand if you're feeling like a bitch you could sub him out for Dawson Mercer. Mercer is another young red hot Devil, who has recorded at least a point in his last 12 games. In the end either of these two are solid options, it's up to you to pick your poison. Now Mikael Backlund has been an absolute gunner for the Flames, firing an immense amount of shots on goals in his last couple of games. In his last 5 games he has recorded 5,4,1,5, and 5 shots on goal. The 1 shot on goal is obviously an outlier, and on top of that the Flames are playing a Senators team that has been notoriously weak defensively on the road this season. There are the stats that back the lay, but if you were a true degen you never even needed them, that being said the lay is below.
